Eating for your PH... Yes, it's a thing.
Many of us don't know if our bodies are Alkaline or Acid. And we are susceptible to change. However, if we are too Acidic, our bones can become brittle and we can become ridden with pain. It's also been proven to also cause weight gain, infertility, hair loss and promote cancer**.
Now do you see why those Alkaline Waters are so popular??
And, if we take it too far on the NO ACID diet, we may become are too Alkaline, we could have spells of dizziness and vertigo, along with acid reflux and constipation.
Neither of these are "good". Do how do we make sure we fall somewhere in the middle? In perfect PH Harmony?
Well, for less than $10 you can buy PH test strips, and each morning you can dip the strip in your first urine (in a sterile cup). Do this for 3 - 5 days in a row. Then follow the food guide below.
If you are too Acidic, try eating more of these foods, until you balance your PH:
Broccoli
Cucumber, Spinach & Kale
Cilantro & Oriental Greens
Garlic & Onion
Sweet Potato
Celery
Cabbage
Asparagus
Almond Butter
Apple Cider Vinegar
Probiotics & OMEGA/Fish Oils
Bell Peppers
Baking Soda
Parsnip
Cantaloupe, Honeydew & Watermelon
Olives in Oil
Raspberries, Peaches, Apples, Mangoes
Pumpkin Seeds
Brazil & Macadamia Nuts
Sesame & Sunflower Seeds
Avocado
If you are too Alkaline, try eating more of these foods, until you balance your PH:
Dairy/Cheese
Wheat, Flour, Bread
Dried Fruit
Beef, Pork, Chicken, Lamb
Cashews, Pecans, Walnuts
Rice
Alcohol
Oats, Barley, Corn
Jam
Peanut Butter & Pistachios
Soy
Black Pepper
Lobster
Coffee
Mayonnaise, Ketchup
Cranberry
Eggs
After reading through the above, what is your guess on what you are? Many American's have severely Acidic PH levels. I did. And I am still working on a diet that promotes a balanced PH so that I can live a LONG, happy, healthy, pain-free life. Because, isn't that what we all want? So, what are you waiting for... only you can prevent PH Imbalance.
Happy eating!
Love & Yum,
Lindsay
